SPOKANE, Wash. - Justus E. Anderson Sr., of Spokane, Wash., died Saturday, May 17, 2003, at his home.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Heritage Funeral Home, 508 N. Government Way, in Spokane. Interment will be held at Greenwood Memorial Terrace.
He was born on Oct. 19, 1927, in Havre to Justus and Agnes Anderson. He graduated from Havre High School and attended Northern Montana College.
He entered the U.S. Army in 1952 and later attained the rank of sergeant. He served in Korea where he earned the Korean service medal with three bronze service stars, United Nations service medal, National Defense service medal and combat infantry badge.
He worked as a farmer, growing wheat and raising cattle in Hill County for 35 years.
Justus was a member of the VFW, American Legion, B.P.O. Elks, Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Korean War Veterans Association.
Survivors include his sister, Juanita (Duane) Lind of Columbia Falls, and friend, Robert Jewell of Great Falls.
