CHINOOK - Ted Jenneskens, 85, died unexpectedly on April 26, 2003, at his residence in Chinook.
A Vigil service will be held tonight at 7 at Saint Gabriel's Catholic Church. A funeral Mass will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Saint Gabriel's Catholic Church with burial following in the Kuper Memorial Cemetery.
Ted was born in Weeze, Germany, to Antonius and Mechtilde (Jansen) Jenneskens on Oct. 2, 1917.
Ted married Helen Thelen on Sept. 28, 1943, in Germany. They moved to Chinook on Feb. 10, 1949, to work on his uncle's farm south of Lohman. Ted worked on other farms in the Chinook area before buying a dairy farm north of Chinook in 1958. He continued in the dairy business until 1968 and then went into a stock cow operation. He retired in 1991 and moved to Chinook.
Ted was an active member of Saint Gabriel's Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Helen Jenneskens of Chinook; sons, Fred Jenneskens of Big Fork and Herb Jenneskens of Baltimore, Md.; sisters, Paula Niepman and Katherina Selders, both of Germany; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
