LeRoy Aevermann, 75, died Saturday, April 26, 2003, at a Havre care center of natural causes.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul Lutheran Church with Pastor Alfred Ebel officiating. A luncheon will follow the memorial service at the church.
LeRoy was born Aug. 12, 1927, to William and Bertha (Miller) Aevermann in Rudyard and raised and educated there. He entered the U.S. Army in 1951 and was honorably discharged as a private first class.
LeRoy returned to Havre after his military service and worked at the 7 Up and Coca Cola bottling plant, for Klabunde & Bailey Homes, for Cenex and also for Rocky Mountian Packing Co. before retiring in 1987. On Sept. 25, 1954, LeRoy married Marguerite Linie in Havre at St. Paul Lutheran Church.
LeRoy enjoyed hunting, fishing, dancing, snowmobiling, camping in the Bear Paw Mountains, gardening, cooking, smoking fish and turkey meat, and taking drives to Rocky Boy. LeRoy loved to visit with people and to travel the Hi-Line and eat at the various restaurants.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers Frank, Paul and twin brother Raymond; and a sister, Clara Teel.
LeRoy is survived by his wife, Marguerite Aevermann of Havre; daughter, Susan Marie (James) Lowen of Havre; son, Tom Aevermann of Havre; sisters, Lydia (Stuart) Gustafson of Ferndale; Ruth Bley of Great Falls; Lorraine Svejkovsky of Conrad; Loretta Burnell of Havre; sisters-in-law, Florann Aevermann of Madress, Ore; and Evelyn Aevermann of Portland, Ore; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorials in LeRoy's honor may be made to the Northern Montana Care Center, 30 13th St., Havre, MT 59501 or to St. Paul Lutheran Church, 1100 11th Ave., Havre, MT 59501.
Services and arrangements are under the direction of Holland & Bonine Funeral Home.
