JOPLIN - Gaylene Yvonne Lalum, 47, died on Friday, April 4, 2003, at her home in Kalispell due to Hodgkins lymphoma.
The funeral service for Gaylene will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Joplin High School in Joplin. Burial will be at Landusky Cemetery at 4:30 p.m. with a sup-
per following at the Landusky School.
She was born Feb.16, 1956, in Havre to Raymond and Margaret Williams of Landusky. She attended grade school in Landusky, Dodson and qt St. Jude's Catholic School in Havre. Lalum attended her freshman year in Lewistown and the remaining years of high school in Missoula. She graduated from Loyola Catholic High School in 1974.
Lalum attended the College of Great Falls and graduated from Spokane Community College with an associate degree in childhood development.
She married Andy Lalum on Oct. 27, 1979, in Havre, and they lived at the family farm near Joplin until 1998. They then moved to Bozeman where Gaylene owned and operated Auntie Gayle's Daycare. In June of 2000 she was diagnosed with Hodgkins lymphoma. At the time of her death the family resided in Kalispell.
Gayle had a love for children and they loved her. She radiated the love of Jesus in every aspect of her life. She brought many people into a deeper faith and trust in the Lord. Gaylene lived her life for the Lord and her family.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, Raymond and Margaret Williams.
She is survived by her husband, Andy; children Adam, Andrea, and Jesi; brothers, Dan (Carol) Williams and Jerry (Lorri) Williams of Landusky; Terry (Linda) Williams of Frenchtown; sisters Ramona (Bill) Kienenberger of Lovelock, Nev., Bonnie (Jerry) Lankford of Dodson, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Cancer Family Network, Box 6446, Bozeman, MT 59771.
Arrangements are by Edwards Funeral Home of Chinook.
