FRANCES BROWN obituary

MOSES LAKE, Wash. - Frances "Frankie" Brown, 68, died Jan. 27, 2003, at her in Moses Lake, Wash., home of lung cancer.

A memorial service was held on Feb. 6, 2003, at the Lake City Foursquare Church in Moses Lake, with the Rev. Dave Chandler officiating.

Frankie was born in Havre to George and Ruth Friesen on Dec. 9, 1934. The family moved to Ephrata, Wash., in 1946 and she graduated from Ephrata High School in 1952.

Frankie married Vernon Lee Brown.

In 1980 she moved to Moses Lake where she worked at the Grant County Alcohol and Drug Programs. She put herself through college at Big Bend Community College to obtain her CDP certification and was later promoted to administrative director. She retired in 1997.

Frankie was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Noralie Stevens of Wenatchee, Wash.; and ex-husband, Vernon Brown.

Survivors include her daughter, Erin Brown of Moses Lake, Wash.; two granddaughters; sister, Andrea Wright of Mooresville, N.C.; one nephew; and numerous close and beloved family members.

Arrangements were by Nicoles Funeral Home in Ephrata, Wash.
