William M. Moore, 70, of Havre died Friday, March 7, 2003, at a Great Falls hospital after a long battle with cancer.
A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Holland and Bonine Funeral Chapel in Havre with the Rev. Rowlie Hutton officiating. Cremation has taken
place. A fellowship reception will follow the committal service at the Eagles Club.
Bill was born Aug. 8, 1932, in Helena and raised in the Whitefish area. He attended schools in Whitefish. After completing school he served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. After the war he worked in construction as an electrician. In 1965 Bill went to work for Burlington Northern as an electrician and retired in 1995.
On Dec. 28, 1971, Bill married Carol Walker in Havre.
Bill enjoyed reading, playing cribbage, doing jigsaw puzzles, and driving trucks. The highlight of his life was spending time with his grandchildren, especially Aitana and Ellycia Moore because they lived close by.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Merle Moore.
Survivors include his wife, Carol Moore; daughters, Kathy (Jim) Bahr and Joan (Cal) Daulton; sons, Bill Moore, Brian (Kyndra) Moore, James (Pat) Vaskey; brothers, Herb and Rex Moore; 13 grandchildren; three great-granddaughters.
Memorials in William's honor may be made to Gift of Life, P.O. Box 7008, Great Falls, MT 59406-7008, or a donor's choice.
Services and arrangements are under the direction of Holland and Bonine Funeral Home of Havre.
