HARLOWTON - Jeannette Verne Wojtowick, 88, former longtime Harlowton resident, died Saturday, Feb. 8, 2003, in Sheridan from a stroke.
A viewing will be after 9 a.m. and continuing until the Rosary on Friday at 7 p.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Harlowton. The Mass of the Resur-rection will be celebrat-
ed Saturday at 11 a.m., also at St. Joseph's. Rite of committal will be in the Catholic Cemetery.
Jeanne was born Aug. 5, 1914, in Lewistown to Tom and Verne (Cook) Baker. She graduated from Fergus County High School in 1932.
On June 14, 1937, she married Edward Wojtowick in St. Leo's Catholic Church in Lewistown. In the early 1940s, they purchased Hiway Mobile Service in Harlowton. In the late 1950s, Ed and Jeanne purchased Olaf Lain Motors, which became Wojtowick Motors, and operated the dealership until retirement.
After retirement, Jeanne worked at the Harlowton Medical Center.
Ed and Jeanne spent their winters in Tucson, Ariz.
Jeanne was a warm and caring wife and mother who devoted her life to the family. Her love of music and her beautiful voice allowed her to perform at church, community functions and operas in Billings.
Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents, son Gary Wojtowick, and a granddaughter.
Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Ed, who resides at Tobacco Root Mountain Care Center in Sheridan; daughters, Joan (Russell) Fisk of Dillon, Kaye (Robert) Franks of Davis, Calif., Donna (Paul) Krause of Clarkston, Wash., and Gail (Dean) Leary of Sheridan; sons, Michael (Marilyn) Wojtowick of Havre, Timothy (Julie) Wojtowick of Harlowton and daughter-in-law, Mary Lynn Wojtowick of Great Falls; sisters, Peggy Jones and Barbara Hopkins of Havre and Helen (Renny) Breda of Grand Junction, Colo.; brother Tom (Jessie) Baker Jr. of Havre and Mesa, Ariz.; 15 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made in Harlowton to the St. Joseph's Catholic Church Park Fund or to the Harlowton High School Music Department in Jeanne's name.
Dahl Funeral Chapel in Billings is in charge of arrangements.
