George P. Zoren, 80, and retired veteran, died Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2003, at a Havre hospital of natural causes.
Cremation has taken place. A private family service has taken place.
Memorials in George's honor may be made to a person's choice.
Services and arrangements are under the direction of the Holland and Bonine Funeral Home.
George was born Feb. 22, 1922, to Vincent and Agnes Zoren at Little Falls, Minn. He attended grade school and high school there. After high school graduation, he entered in to the U.S. Army Air Corps. He was assigned to England while he was in the service.
While serving there, he met his wife Betty Bateman. She was in the British navy. They were married Dec. 12, 1944, in Bedford, England. He served his country during both World War II and the Korean War. He served his country for 21 years.
George was an avid fisherman who enjoyed fishing with family and friends.
George was preceded in death by his parents, Vincent and Agnes Zoren; sister, Loretta Eckman; brothers, Tom, Paul, Ray, and John Zoren.
Survivors include his wife, Betty (Bateman) Zoren of Havre; daughters, Vicky Donner and Eddie Colling of Havre, Beverly (James) Tyranoski of Mandan, N.D., Pat (James) Tomte of Everett, Wash., and Debbie (Brian) Lerner of Medicine Hat, Alberta; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
