WHITEFISH - Lucille LaDonna Kickbusch, 70, a Whitefish resident, died on Sunday, Jan. 5, 2003, at a Whitefish hospital of natural causes.
A funeral service was at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. David V. Kauffman officiating. Burial followed at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Columbia Falls.
Lucille was born in Havre to Frank and Mildred Kardell on June 23, 1932. She was raised at the family home north of Havre.
Lucille married Roy Kickbusch in Havre on April 27, 1949. They moved to Hungry Horse in 1955 and later settled in Coram, where they raised five children.
In her early years she loved snowmobiling, fishing, gardening and bingo. She was always active in the PTA, Bible studies, politics and community issues.
Lucille loved the Lord and tried to follow his lead. She was a true patriot and a kind and gracious person with many dear friends and family. She will be remembered for the love she lavished on her family.
Lucille was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Kickbusch; daughter, Jola Dorlarque; brothers, Vance and Lloyd Kardell; parents, Mildred and Frank Kardell; and stepparents, Roy and Nettie.
Survivors include her sons, Larry Kickbusch of Louisiana and Doug Kickbusch of Great Falls; daughters, Judy (Jeff) Halsey and Pauline (Jim) Obermeyer, all of Whitefish; brothers, Martin Kardell of Havre, Earl Kardell of Harlowtown and Dave Moore of Kalispell; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
