WILLIAM LEE-WARNER, Obituary

NAMPA, Idaho The Rev. William "Bill" George Lee-Warner, 54, died Monday, Sept. 10, 2001.

A memorial service was held in Boise, Idaho, on Sept. 16.

Bill was born Oct. 21, 1946, in Victoria, British Columbia, to Edgar and Mollie Lee-Warner.

After the family moved to Hood River, Ore., Bill graduated with a degree in communications from Oregon State University in 1969. He later earned a master's of divinity from Western Evangelical Seminary in 1978.

On Sept. 12, 1970, Bill married Shirley Spofford of Boise, Idaho.

Bill accepted Christ as his personal savior at the age of 12 at a Bible camp on Anvil Island, B.C. This decision changed his life and prepared him to accept the calling of God to full-time vocational Christian service. He worked in independent churches in California, Oregon and Michigan. The Christian and Missionary Alliance Church ordained him in 1983. Thereafter, he pastored at Community Alliance Church in Havre for 15 memorable years. Most recently, he worked with The Sign Ministries of Grand Haven, Mich.

Bill was a loving husband, father, pastor and friend. His life was a testament to his faith as he ran the race to win the prize for the upward call of Christ. he will be greatly missed by all whose lives he touched.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Lee-Warner of Nampa, Idaho; children, Joshua (Nicole) Leewarner of Seattle, Wash., Suzannah (Matt) Lindley of Nampa, Rebecca Lee-Warner of Nevada City, Calif., MIDN 2/C Jonathan Lee-Warner of Annapolis, Md., and Abigail Lee-Warner of Nampa; brother, Alick Lee-Warner and family of Everett, Wash., sister, Mary Bull and family of Kamloops, British Columbia.
