Dorothy Anderson, 93, died Wednesday, May 24, 2000 at a Havre hospital of natural causes.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Van Orsdel United Methodist Church with Pastor Kathy Young officiating. Burial to follow at the Highland Cemetery.
Anderson was born March 15, 1907 in Osseo, Wis. She attended country schools in Osseo. She worked for her cousin in Osseo and met Alvin Anderson there. The couple married June 12, 1928 in Minneapolis, Minn. He moved to Havre to work for H. Earl Clack and she came out to Havre on the train later. They made their home in Havre.
Anderson enjoyed playing cards and bingo with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Alvin Anderson, Sr. in 1980, son, Alvin Anderson, Jr. in 1981, a stillborn daughter and one great-grandchild.
Survivors include her daughter, Ramona Cooper, and twin sons, Harold and Gerald Anderson, all of Havre; sister, Mayme Christ of Osseo, Wis., two nieces, 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Memorials may be made to the Van Orsdel United Methodist Church Youth Camp Fund.
Services and arrangements are under the direction of Holland & Bonine Funeral Home.
