Xavier Alexander Clark of Havre was sentenced this weeks to 30 years in prison for the shooting death of Dyllan Murray at a party in Havre Oct. 17, 2021, with the judge imposing a longer sentence than recommended in a plea agreement signed by Clark. District Judge Kaydee Snipes Ruiz sentenced Clark, 23 at the time of the incident, to 50 years in prison with 20 suspended on the charge of deliberate homicide. The Great Northern Fair Board announced at its monthly meeting Tuesday evening that its project to replace the fairgrounds’ western bathrooms will not be finished in time for this year’s fair, despite their hopes to the contrary. Board Chair Michelle Burchard said the estimate for the project came in around $450,000, which was far more than expected and much more than the fair can afford at the moment.
