The name of the 18-year-old Havre man killed June 27 in a one-car crash in Glacier County has been released by the Glacier County coroner. Michael Wayne Spotted Eagle died from injuries sustained in the crash. The Montana Highway Patrol report said Spotted Eagle, a passenger in a Cadillac Escalade that went off the road on U.S. Highway 89, was tossed from the vehicle, hitting the ground and sustaining fatal injuries. Hill County 4-H is set for a big 2024 Great Northern Fair, with some changes including a major shift in time for the annual market sale. “The biggest change is Sunday. H. Earl Clack Museum board members met Monday evening to review updates for the museum. The board discussed what could happen with a new $1.25 million grant to promote tourism. Havre just received a major boost in its planning for downtown and boost up tourism. The Downtown Havre Matters! committee at a meeting Monday discussed $1.25 million in a two-year grant the Havre Tourism Enhancement Project was awarded last week to help revitalize downtown and increase tourism in the area, part of the goals of the Downtown Master Plan recently approved by the city.
