Harlem Public Schools announced in a Facebook post this afternoon that it was closing the schools early to allow law enforcement to investigate a possible threat. The post said junior and senior high school buses would load at 1:45 p.m. and the elementary school buses would load at 1:55 p.m. "We are sorry for any inconvenience and will inform the public of the outcome of the investigation when it is available," the post said. The controversy surrounding an incident at Havre High School late last month, where a student came to school with what has been called a racially insensitive Halloween costume, continues as parents of students seek action from the school to address the issue.
