  • Out Our Way: The Boss's Riders - John 6:32- 35

    Updated Sep 3, 2021

Out our way, the cycle of nature is usually dependable. Snow melts and fills the creeks and reservoirs, then the rains top it off - the grass grows and flourishes so the herd has plenty. But sometimes the snow is light in winter and the spring rains don't come. Sometimes the pasture is sparse and the grazing poor. We try to avoid the herd going thirsty and hungry by rotating them through different pastures. One pasture area is usually allowed a season of regrowth and...

  • Hello, God. It's me, Mara.

    Updated Sep 3, 2021

You know, Lord, recalling a happening from a long time ago, was fascinating. Several of us gals had to deal with those pre-college physicals. None of us were really that tall but several of us were delighted to see that we were taller than five feet. Woo-hoo - even though it was only by one-quarter inch. Time passed, we'd kept in touch, then several of us were less than thrilled when a recent measurement set two of them, once again, at under five feet. Friend K. G. said, "No...

    Updated Sep 3, 2021

'Twas a gray day, inside and out; sprinkles of rain and tears. You're missed, dear one; yes, every day, and week, or even years. We look outside, memories come back of things we used to do. We traveled some, flew here and there, and visited a zoo! Remembering, you'd sweep the garage, then wash and wax the car. Carwash is now a handy place and it's not very far. It's mowing day, the neighbor guys, B., D. and M. work hard. Remembering how you did that too; we had a lovely yard....
