    At their weekly business meeting Thursday, the Hill County Commissioners announced the departure of Hill County Deputy Attorney R. Timothy Jeffrey, effective Nov. 2. This resignation comes on the heels of Hill County Attorney Karen Alley’s resignation, effective Oct. 24.     Press release Montana Department of Transportation and Schellinger Construction have completed the Lohman East and West project on U.S. Highway 2, upgrading the route in time for Halloween fun. This project began just past the Hill/Blaine County line and ended at the city limits on the west side of Chinook. The Havre Plaindealer apparently went out of business in May of 1921, which leaves the Havre Daily Promoter’s microfilm to use. Most of the Promoter’s pages were dedicated to national, state and world news, with local news interspersed throughout its pages, and of course lots of advertisements.
