The Havre Eagles Club will once again hold their annual Community Christmas Dinner Dec. 25 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. but they are looking for more volunteers and donations to make the event happen. The Havre Animal Shelter has taken in several cats and dogs recently, including several puppies, leaving the shelter over capacity, and the non-profit Friends of the Havre Animal Shelter has put out a call for help with expenses. Animal Control officer Pete Federspiel said this morning that the shelter has 39 dogs and puppies and 15 cats and kittens, which is well over the shelter’s normal capacity.
