The Hill County Park Board addressed concerns during its monthly meeting Monday about a cross fence it has been planning to have built in the southern potion of Beaver Creek Park. Editor, Beaver Creek Park is such a treasure in the region and has such great potential for bringing recreational tourism to Hill County. It’s big business, so it’s shameful that the park is managed by a board that allows activities in the park that diminish it’s natural features and threaten wildlife and habitat. Having documented policies is a clear showing of intent, purpose, commitment and accountability, and builds trust with owners, managers, partners and others. Hill County Department Health Director Kim Larson said at a county officials meeting Thursday, her department is working with Bullhook Community Health Center to set up sentinel testing in the same vein as has been done on the Rocky Boy’s and Fort Belknap Indian reservations.
