Farm Report: Tomatoes are up and everything else is down. More or less. I’m not sure what it is about tomatoes here but they insist on growing under extreme conditions, such as winter. Well, our winter, not your winter. Still, they astonish me. Remember, my farm is in five-gallon buckets, baby baths, and other assorted strange containers. I’m really tired of eating tomatoes. More than once I have wondered if it was ever coming as I stomped my feet, ribbed my hands and even ole Doc shivered as I sat watching with hopeful eyes the eastern ridges. As many of you know, the date we celebrate Christmas was chosen by the early Church during the time of great persecution. The pagans hunted down, abused, robbed and even killed...

Today, I am pulling out my 2022 calendars and writing down events taking place during this first month of the new year. As I do this, I can't help but wonder, what is this year of 2022 going to be like? Will it be like 2021? Will it be like 2020? In a very real way, I hope the answer to both of those questions is a resounding no! And yet, we really do not know what this year (or any other year) will bring. So, what do we really know? We know that God loves us continuously....

All too soon the neatly arranged rows of squares are filled with various appointments, or as one gal said, 'filled with the living of o...
