  • Power out, quickly restored from Lohman to Zurich

    NorthWestern Energy reports a power outage occurred this afternoon, from Lohman through Chinook to Zurich, but power was quickly restored. Spokesperson Jo Dee Black said the outage, which impacted about 1,400 NorthWestern Energy customers, started about 12:27 p.m. today. Crews responded and power was restored by about 2:20 p.m., Black said. The crews were focused on restoring service and the cause of the outage has not yet been determined, she said....

    The Blaine County Health Department announced that it will be receiving its initial allocation of COVID-19 vaccine this week, although it warns people to still take precautions to reduce the spread of the disease until everyone is vaccinated.     The new location of the Merril Lundman VA Outpatient Clinic will open in the Holiday Village Mall in Havre on inauguration day, Jan. 20.     Montana’s U.S. senators Monday touted provisions in a COVID-19 relief bill and an omnibus spending bill that includes the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes water compact.
