An eastbound Amtrak train collided with a pickup truck near Kremlin Monday afternoon, killing one person and injuring two. A decade-long controversy between Hill County and the city of Havre may be resurfacing. County commissioners have notified the city that they will end the contract under which the county pays $20,000 for the operation of the swimming pool at the city hall complex. John W. Sinclair, 24, of Rocky Boy, was struck and killed Friday night as he was walking near the center line on U.S. Highway 87 south of Havre. Montana Highway Patrol reports Sinclair was hit by a pickup truck and pronounced dead at Northern Montana Hospital. A Rudyard man, Danny Hansard, 60, was one of two people killed crash near Fort Benton Thursday. John Romain, 88, Great Falls, formerly of Chester and Havre, also died in the accident. Montana Highway Patrol said the southbound car driven by Romain tried to pass a tractor-trailer on U.S. Highway 87 in a no-passing zone.
