Scammers are targeting the community and the Havre Police Department is urging residents to be aware of a recent spike in scam calls. Ryan Pearson, senior patrol officer for the Havre Police Department said that last Thursday the police department received 20 to 30 scam reports. The main scams in question concern the Internal Revenue Service, the United States Government Grants Department and calls stating a relative of the phone call recipient is in jail in another country.
