    The Montana State University-Northern Lights were a wounded football team coming into their homecoming game against a surging Carroll College squad. And yet, the Lights showed the type of resolve and toughness that new head coach Andrew Rolin is instilling in his young Northern squad. In their homecoming game, the Lights didn't come away with the a win, falling to the Fighting Saints 32-14 Saturday at sunny Blue Pony Stadium. But, Rolin saw plenty of positives in the defeat....

    The Havre High football team had plenty of opportunities to notch a season-changing win Friday night over the Belgrade Panthers. But in the end, the Blue Ponies made a few too many mistakes. Three turnovers and some trouble punting into the wind ultimately cost the Ponies, who were downed 10-0 by Belgrade Friday night in Blue Pony Stadium.   • People open up at annual Suicide Awareness Walk

    About 100 people gathered on the Montana State University-Northern campus Thursday in awareness a major problem in north-central Montana and in the nation - suicide. The Fourth Annual Suicide Awareness Walk was held to give a platform for those whose lives have been impacted by suicide and to raise awareness for mental health, Suicide Walk Committee Chair Amber Spring said. Many at the event were wearing purple and teal clothing and ribbons, the symbol of suicide awareness....
