GREAT FALLS - Charles Daniel "Charlie" Adams, 48, died peacefully on Sunday, June 27, 2004, of adenocarcinoma in his family's home in Great Falls. Graveside services and burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Inverness Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday at the Rockman Funeral Chapel in Chester. Around her, displays depicting life in the olden days of north-central Montana whisper of Hill County's past, giving visitors a glimpse of the county's rich history. The H. Organizers say the Havre Fourth of July celebration, now in its second year, is getting bigger and better, and they hope the trend will continue. "Obviously, this thing is just in its infancy, but we've got about double the participants of last year," Rick Linie said today. CHINOOK - A heavy rainstorm struck Chinook on Thursday night, causing flooding that forced city workers to barricade a number of streets. The deluge hit about 8:15 p.m. and lasted 20 minutes. The rain water rushed to low areas in west and south Chinook, accumulating 10 to 12 inches in some areas. The water covered dozens of yards and flooded several basements. By 9 p.m., much of the Blaine County Fairgrounds was still under water, and some streets were so flooded that residents used canoes to move from block to block....

With great care and preparation, the Havre Jaycees are continuing a decades-old tradition Sunday - their Independence Day fireworks display at the Hill County Fairgrounds. Jaycees project manager Jason Murri told members of the service organization to use care and common sense while setting off the fireworks.
