    The delta variant-driven COVID-19 surge continues in the state with numbers also creeping up locally. With 738 new cases statewide reported on this morning's update on the state online tracking map, two Montana counties are listed with more than 1,000 active cases and another almost there.     A final two-week extension has been made to the city of Havre's agreement to provide fire suppression services to Rural Fire District 1 as the RFD1 Board and the city appear to have finally made progress on a new contract. The cumulative total for the state as 128,835 cases.
