The Local Advisory Council for Mental Health in Blaine County will host a two-day course in suicide intervention training Tuesday and Wednesday of next week in the Blaine County Library Conference Room in Chinook. Jana McPherson-Hauer, the county’s public health nurse, said the workshop is a 15-hour long course that focuses on Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training or ASIST. A local group has launched a back to school fundraiser meant to individually prepare needy students for the new school year. Havre Police are investigating multiple incidents in which fake $100 bills have been used at local Havre businesses. “These bills look very similar to a true $100 bill. However, they are marked ‘For Motion Picture Use Only,’” a press release from the Havre police department says. The bills all have the same serial number — CP 01105192 L — and people are asked to use caution and look bills over before taking them.
