After years away, in part due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Randy's Freckle Farms Zoo made its return to the Great Northern Fair this year, opening Wednesday to children and adults. Daniel John Wendeln of Havre, MT, formerly from Chinook, 53, passed away unexpectedly July 7, 2022. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. July 23, 2022, at the Chinook High School Auditorium and a luncheon will follow at the Pastime Lounge in Chinook. Philip S. Kaluza of West Covina, Calif., 88, passed away of natural causes on May 31, 2022 in San Clemente, CA. Born July 13, 1933, in Havre, MT, Phil was the middle of five children of Jacob and Gianna Kaluza. He graduated from Havre High School in 1951. Due to an error changing the incorrect time in the obituary for Kristin Hansen that ran on Page A4 in Wednesday’s edition of Havre Daily News, the wrong times for Hansen’s services in Havre and her interment at Fort Harrison in Helena were listed.
