After three intensive days of competitions, displays and various cooking contests, the 66th Annual Montana Seed Show, held at Harlem High School March 12, 13 and 14, proved to be one to remember. Many activities took place at this year's event, including the Chili Cook-Off, which held its first show after a three-year hiatus. Earl Clack Memorial Museum, for Black History Month, is honoring the five members of the Afro-American 10th Calvary who were awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor for their service in the Campaign for the Liberation of Cuba, which is also called the Spanish–American War, in 1898. Today the money raised for the March of Dimes is used to aid in the research of improving the life expectancy of premature babies. Laurel — Helena lawmakers have it right on this one. There is a movement afoot to allocate $15 million to a fund that will be used to expand broadband service to rural Montana areas. Anyone who has tried to use a cellphone to communicate with others in parts of the Hi-Line would be supportive of that. Special to Havre Daily News Students at Rocky Boy Elementary School were busy playing for a good cause March 10. The students participated in activities to raise money for American Heart Association.
