    State Rep. Mike Lang, R-Malta captured his party’s nomination Tuesday in his primary race for Senate District 17. Lang, a two-term lawmaker, is looking to represent the Senate district now held by the term-limited John Brenden, R-Scobey.     James Bedwell was successful in his effort to get on the ballot as a Democratic candidate for Hill County Commissioner Tuesday. Bedwell, who lives in Havre, announced May 26 that he would seek to get himself on the November ballot through a write-in campaign. Bedwell missed the deadline to file with the Hill County Clerk and Recorder's office to get his name printed on the primary ballot.     James O’Hara, a former Chouteau County commissioner, won the Republican nomination for the Montana House from District 27, a sprawling district that extends from Wild Horse south into Cascade County. O’Hara beat back an attempt by Darrold Hutchinson from the Hingham area, 1,340-977.
