The Monday omnibus hearing for a man accused of physically dragging a peace officer has been delayed to May 4. Sampson F. Mayer, born in 1986, of Havre was charged with two counts of assault on a peace officer and one count of resisting arrest March 16. He pleaded not guilty March 20 before District Judge Daniel Boucher. Boucher rescheduled Mayer's hearing to May 4 at 1:30 p.m. at the Hill County Courthouse. Former Stone Child College head Melody Henry and her husband, Frank Henry, pleaded guilty Monday to filing a false federal income tax return Monday and awaits sentencing. The maximum penalty for the count is three years imprisonment with one year of supervised release and a $100,000 fine, as well as costs of prosecution. A jury Feb. 20 found the Henrys not guilty of embezzling funds from the Chippewa Cree Tribe. Havre Trails continued preparations for its 5K Run/Walk slated for April 25 and discussed future projects. Registration for the 5K begins at 9 and the race starts at 10 a.m. on April 25.
