Each dollar raised has ensured that local youth will continue to have an opportunity to play the world's most popular sport, right here on the...

  • Letter to the Editor: Kaul is right, enforce cellphone ordinance

    Updated Mar 29, 2016

Editor: Regarding the March 22 story in the Havre Daily News quoting former councilman Bob Kaul on the subject of using hands-on cellphones while operating a motor vehicle in Havre: Let me say, I couldn’t agree more. I also am a former Havre city councilman (1996-2000), and I am concerned that when the City Council passes ordinances, sometimes it appears as if they go unheeded by city departments who are tasked to enforce them. In the case of drivers using using cellphones while driving, I am aware that there is an o...

  • Our View: Congratulations to two Rocky Boy women

    Updated Mar 29, 2016

It seemed that one after another, clinic directors were indicted for various forms of embezzlement. The clinic is under-funded by the federal government, and what little money got down to the clinic was syphoned off by the bigshots. But recently there has been a 180-degree turn. The c...

In particular, the good news that came late last week was the announcement that both Natalee...

No matter the scores, or the level of competition, it was a successful start to the 2016 Havre High tennis season. And it was mainly because, even though it's still March, the Blue Ponies played, and they played a lot. The Havre boys and girls got plenty of time on the courts on a rare, mild day in Cut Bank, as the Ponies took part in the Cut Bank Invitational last Saturday. "This early in the year, or really, all spring long, your first hope is just to get outside and get on...
