A water ban has been lifted in Joplin after a notice was issued to residents of Joplin Friday urging them not to use their water after a report claimed there was blue-colored water that had a bad odor. The 31st annual Havre-Hill County Library Valentine's Day Pie Social offered a wide variety of pies Friday to raise money for the library. Bonnie Williamson, treasurer of the Friends of the Havre-Hill County Library, said $1,755.01 was raised for the library. The District 9C Basketball Tournament begins Wednesday and local businesses are gearing up for the high amount of people who travel to Havre for the four-day basketball tournament. After the Havre Fire Department received a 12:45 p.m. Sunday call about a dog stuck in the river, firefighters responded with cold water suits to the area. The German shepherd was seen holding onto a piece of ice in the river, half in, half out. A Fort Benton woman is working on finalizing a support group for those grieving the loss of a family member. Gail Allen, the leader of the group, said she is working through the Compassionate Friends support group organization.
