The Hill County Park Board discussed the possibility of putting up a cross fence in the southern part of Beaver Creek Park to reduce overgrazing in the southern pasture at their monthly meeting, where they received a petition from grazers in the area, most of whom oppose the fence. Winter weather returned to the region with a vengeance Monday, with plummeting temperatures and heavy snow at times. At a meeting of the Havre City Council Monday, Mayor Doug Kaercher said the city’s deer management plan, including bow hunting in parts of the city, has been approved by the Montana Fish and Wildlife Commission, and the plan is to announce a special hunt Dec. 1 through Feb. 15.
