William Joe Skidmore was acquitted after a four-day trial in state Disrict Court in Havre of a homicide charge stemming from a 2017 car crash. A Havre man was sentenced in state district court for the second charge after being convicted for the second time of negligent homicide in the shooting death of his brother.
