For the first time in five years, the Phillips County Fair hosted a demolition derby and the event, holding nearly 900, was a success. The demo derby featured plenty of "rock'em sock'em" action and was highlighted by a win by Chinook's Garrett Powell. Powell won the Calcutta round, which was also the Championship Round of the derby.
