Shawn Mariani, bowling on the Monday Mixed Straightaway shot his 10th career 300 game. It was his first game of a four-game set, and he followed with a 246, 196 for a 752 for three games and 226 for his fourth game for a 968 total for the evening. Due to lack of entries, very cold weather and lack of people to cover shifts, the Annual Hi Line Lanes Challenge...

As we pulled out of Thompson Falls the Sunday that my wife, Faye, and Lynn Crossley bowled in the Senior Tournament, I mentioned how good both of them bowled. “I said you both might get a nickel or two back.” Little did I realize that Faye would be in first and Lynn in third in their respective divisions, with just one week left. The new season is now upon us, with all the leagues in full swing and scores are respectable considering the long layoff over the summer months. Over the summer, the Havre Men's, Women's, and Youth USBC associations voted to merge. They are now one association with an association manager to do all the paper work and to be the “go to guy.” That lucky person who took on the challenge is Shawn Mariani, who I am sure will do an excellent job. A USBC representative from Billings was present during the merger and helped with the...
