Havre Trails had their monthly meeting Monday at the Elks Club and spoke of progress made with the US Bank Park project and their April 25 Trail Run. Lindsey Bennett, the president of the group, said that they have received many letters of support from the city, Montana State University-Northern, Boys Scouts of America and others. As a part of an initiative to spread safe firearm use, the Havre Police Department is offering safety kits to anyone who wants them. The gun lock is a cable-style lock that runs through the magazine area of the weapon and prevents it from working. The lock comes with a set of keys.
