The Havre Wal-Mart store will reopen today after no explosive device was found on or near the store. A 1:44 p.m. Wednesday, store personnel called 9-1-1 to report that they had received a bomb threat. Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks is seeking information regarding a whitetail deer doe that was killed two miles north of Kremlin. FWP said that on Sept. 2, a red pickup was seen chasing a deer through stubble and standing crop fields. The deer was killed and dragged for nearly 4.5 miles. A gas line break in Chester closed down U.S. Highway 2 Monday and forced Stricks Ag to evacuate its building.
