The Warriors beat Northern 59-43, ending the Skylights two-game Frontier Conference winning streak. Northern was able to hang tough early on, trailing by just a few points for much of the fi...

However, LC's defense kept the Lights scoreless for the next 8:42 of the game while the Warriors went on a 15-0 run. That put LC ahead...

Two months ago, the Montana State University-Northern wrestling team was a young and inexperienced squad when it beat the Northwest College Trappers in Powell, Wyo. For several Hi-Line cowboys, this weekend's Montana Pro Rodeo Circuit Finals in Great Falls was a rough one. For others, it was a lucrative three days. The MPRCF was held Friday through Sunday at the Four Seasons Arena in Great Falls, and a pair of area team ropes came away with the most success. Zortman's Shane Schwenke and teammate Kory Mytty finished third in the average for the weekend, as well as the year-end championship and a trip to the Dodge Circuit Finals this spring in Oklahoma City. Schwenke and Mytty garnered... Full story
In a rare Monday night game, the Havre High girls basketball team did all it could to hang with the Class AA Great Falls High Bison. In the end however, the Bison had just enough firepower to hold off the Blue Ponies. On Monday night at the Swarthout Fieldhouse in Great Falls, the Ponies fell to GFH 48-40. But the eight-point margin didn't speak to how well the Ponies played. The two teams played a seesaw first half in which the lead changed hands several times with neither team leading by more than three points. GFH seized...

Clackamas is the top-ranked NJCAA team in the country, and the Lights were open at 125 pounds, or the dual might have come out differently.
