The fairly young and inexperienced Havre High volleyball team had its ups and downs this season, but even after finding some postseason success, the Blue Pony season has come to an end. Friday and Saturday the Central A Ponies were in Livingston for the Central A divisional volleyball tournament where HHS saw three conference opponents. Over the weekend the Ponies defeated the Browning Indians 25-21, 28-26 and 25-18. But in their next two matches, the Ponies lost to the Livingston Rangers in three games and lost to the Belgra...
With the first weekend of the 2010 postseason in the books, two Hi-Line football teams still remain. On Saturday, the Northern C Six-Man Big Sandy Pioneers and North Star Knights competed in the first round of the state playoffs. And in the Class C 8-Man playoffs, the Chinook Sugarbeeters and Chester/J-I Hawks also competed in first round action. But with four Hi-Line teams making the cut before Saturday, only two made it out with their season in tact. The No. 1 Pioneers hosted the No. 4 Central C Stanford-Geyser Wolves and...

Everybody had that friend they met in elementary school. The friend that was on the top of the list when it came to handing out birthday invitations when you were younger, and the friend that always rode shotgun when you were older. A best friend. Havre's Shane Kemmer and Kyle Miller have that, but on another level completely. About 12 years have come and gone since Kemmer and Miller first met, and they have continually become better friends ever since. It's not uncommon to have close, tight knit friends in a community as...
