Now, after a short turnaround, the Blue Ponies will match up against an up-and-coming Class AA program. The Class AA CMR Rustlers house a lot of talented wrestlers, but they're still young. They have improved as a program a lot in recent years, and continue to take positive strides. Daniel Horton

The Montana State University-Northern Lights football team took the field for the last time this spring. • Daniel Horton Column: It's been one incredible run by the Big Sandy boys sports teams

    Daniel Horton

I know that the football season, as well as the basketball season did not pan out they way Big Sandy had hoped. Both sports ended in heartbreaking defeats for their coaches, fans, and players. But as an outsider looking in, it is hard to say that it wasn't an amazing 2012-2013 run for the Pioneers. Obviously the goal for any prep athletic program is to win state titles. • Havre High boys trounce Conrad on the road

    Daniel Horton

The Havre High boys basketball team has had their share of streaky play this season. The first half didn't impress anybody, as both teams struggled to do anything to gain an edge. Conrad held a 6-4 lead through the first eight minutes. And things...

The Pioneers have had no problem finding their niche in Class C play. The consistent powerhouse has gone to the state tournament an astonishing six times in the last seven years. And their most recent...
