Friday through Sunday, Havre’s Danny Wirtzberger, who is currently the head coach of the Havre North Stars American Legion baseball team, and the Havre High girls softball team, will put on...

  • North Stars host Electrics Thursday

    Daniel Horton|Updated Jun 26, 2013

The beginning of Northern District play was not welcoming to the Havre North Stars American Legion baseball team this season. But with a lot more at bats, innings, and games now behind the North Stars, a second shot at a conference rival could mean more favorable results. In early May, the North Stars opened up district play with two games against the hosting Great Falls Electrics. But still working out many of the programs kinks, the North Stars suffered two losses, 9-3, and...

The North Stars defeated the Butte Muckers 8-0 Friday. Unfortunately, the North Stars went winless the remainder of the weekend, losing 20-0...

Still, the tournament season is now well under way at local golf courses, and especially at Prairie Farms Golf Course. This past Saturday, the MSU-Northern NLASF Scramble was held at Prairie Farms, and as usual, a good time was had by all. • North Stars earn a home split

    Daniel Horton|Updated Jun 20, 2013

This late into spring, the weather doesn’t typically alter the local sports schedules. But in Montana anything is possible when it comes to unwelcome weather, and days, and inches, of unwelcome rain has already made its mark.
