  • Blue Ponies anxious to hit the diamond

Daniel Horton, Havre Daily News sports

A lot of things have changed in the Havre High girls softball program from last year to now. But with rebuilding not in the Ponies' vocabulary, hopefully HHS can pick up right where it left off last season, with the program's best run at the state tournament in its brief history. Last season the Ponies had a magical run. In their first three trips to the state tournament the Central A Ponies went 0-6. But last...

The Havre High boys basketball team was hoping its narrow loss to Great Falls on Monday was the turning point in the season. And after one of their better games of the year, the Blue Ponies still believe that to be true. Friday at the Havre High gymnasium, the Central A Ponies defeated the Belgrade Panthers 57-51 in conference play. Overall, the Ponies played very well on both sides of the ball.
