The FBI and Rocky Boy Police are investigating a break-in at the Chippewa Cree Health Center Pharmacy.
Two intruders allegedly broke into the health clinic and stole several medications over the weekend.
The police could not be reached for comment, but Misty Denny, chief information officer with the Rocky Boy Health Board, said that the break-in occurred between 1:30 and 4:30 a.m. Saturday.
Surveillance cameras on the property captured images of two figures wearing masks in the building. It is not known if they entered or stole items from any other areas of the health clinic.
"We think the door was kicked in," Denny said. "They spent three hours in the facility."
Denny said the medications stolen were in both pill and liquid form, along with intravenous drugs meant to treat individuals with heart problems and other serious medical ailments.
"If they were consumed in any way they could cause life-threatening problems for the person consuming them, and could even be deadly," Denny said in a statement posted on Rocky Boy Health Board's Facebook page.
"The pills that were stolen could also make a person sick, or cause death," the statement said.
The health board advised that anyone who comes into contact with liquid medications or pills not in a prescription bottle or who finds that someone is trying to distribute these drugs call reservation police.
Because of the break-in, the health board said, the clinic was closed Monday, but teh facility opened as usual this morning.
