U.S. Border Patrol names first female patrol agent in charge at Havre Border Patrol sector

Perla S. McGoffin has been named the patrol agent in charge for the Havre border Patrol sector.

She replaces Michael Stewart who was recently promoted as an Assistant Chief Patrol Agent at Havre Sector Headquarters.

"I am appreciative of the community members who are continuously providing information to our agents and offer a clearer picture of what is occurring

along the border," McGoffin said. "I look forward to meeting and working with our law enforcement partners, community leaders and

the public as the patrol agent in charge of the Havre station."

"I am very proud to appoint the first female patrol agent in charge in Havre Sector and I am confident she will bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to her assignment at the Havre station," said Chief Michael Flanagan

McGoffin is a native of Tucson, Arizona. She has more than 10 years of supervisory and management experience in various capacities within the Tucson, El Paso and Laredo Sectors as well U.S. Border Patrol headquarters in Washington, D.C.

Her most recent assignment was as an assistant chief at U.S. Border Patrol headquarters.

McGoffin resides in Havre with her husband, Sean, and together they have one son, who resides with his wife in Lehi, Utah.
