Adele Grace (Bonner) Dohrman

Adele Grace (Bonner) Dohrman, 65, of Great Falls, passed away Friday, Aug. 22, 2014, after a long battle with cancer, at the Grandview Healthcare Center.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 28, 2014, at The Episcopal Church of the Incarnation. Funeral arrangements are being handled by O'Connor Funeral Home.

Adele was born May 6, 1949, in Los Angeles, California. After 10 years she moved to Great Falls with her family. She attended West Junior High and C.M. Russell High School, graduating in 1967. In 1971 she graduated from MSU Billings with a bachelor's degree in special education.

Adele met her future husband, Dick, in Billings and they married in Great Falls in 1973. She taught school in Glasgow and Havre before devoting her life to supporting her family. Their family always included at least one basset hound wherever they lived. She was a devoted wife and mother, always being there for her husband whose career with the Montana Highway Patrol was very challenging. Adele and Dick lived in Glasgow and Havre where her husband was stationed.

Adele was a longtime supporter and parent of Special Olympics Montana, often fundraising and cheering on the athletes. She also enjoyed sewing and designing greeting cards in her spare time.

Adele was always there for her family being extremely devoted to them. They meant everything to her.

Adele is survived by her husband, Dick; daughter, Cameele; and son, Thomas Dohrman, all of Great Falls. She is also survived by her brother, Alex Bonner, and his family of Massachusetts.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bette and Albert Bonner.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the Humane Society of Cascade County, Special Olympics Montana, The Episcopal Church of the Incarnation or the organization of a person's choice.
