Rocky Boy resident named to state panel

Richard Sangrey, chief of staff for the Chippewa Cree Tribe at Rocky Boy’s Indian Reservation, has been named to the Montana Tribal Economic Development commission.

Gov. Steve Bullock announced the appointment Tuesday.

The panel oversees efforts to spur economic development on the state’s seven Indian reservations.

Leonard Gray and Terry Pitts, both of Pablo and members of the tribal board for the Salish and Kootenai Tribes, were also appointed to the panel.
