Stacey was born on Oct. 23, 1966, in Cutbank to Raymond and Linda (Whitford) Gonsalez. She was raised in Babb until the family moved to Rocky Boy when she was 10. Stacey graduated from Box Elder High School as valedictorian of her class in 1985.  She moved to Havre in 1987, and attended Montana State University–Northern, graduating with a bachelor's degree in business technology in 1996. Stacey married Thurman Holdsclaw II in 1992, and their union was blessed with two children. Thurman was killed in an auto accident in April 1995, and Stacey worked hard over the years to raise her children. She began working at MSU-Northern in 1998, first as a recruiter, then as director of admissions. For the last two years, Stacey was the multi-cultural coordinator, a job she absolutely loved and found very rewarding. Stacey met her fiancé John Salois in 2012.

Stacey was a strong, independent woman who made family her top priority. She loved following her children's activities, in whatever they were doing. She was very helpful and was an outgoing woman with a very infectious laugh. She enjoyed remodeling her house, most any craft, golfing, and dancing.

Stacey was preceded in death by her husband, Thurman Holdsclaw II; her grandparents, Henry and Maryann Whitford and Leo and Rose Gonsalez; and numerous aunts and uncles.

She is survived by her children, Kassala Holdsclaw of Portland, Oregon, and Thurman Holdsclaw III of Havre; her loving fiance, John Salois of Havre; her stepchildren, Jessica, Jonnie, and Raven; her grandchildren, D.J. and Hayleigh; her beloved pets, Sebastian the Cat and Theodore the Dog; her grandpuppy, Winston; her parents, Raymond and Linda Gonsalez of Rocky Boy; her sisters, Zoe, Zena, Jamie and Kodi; and numerous beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and other extended family.

To whom it may concern, we are so sorry for the families loss of this outstanding gal. We pray that the Lord be with all of you in your time of sorrow. With Love Billy and Michelle
