Benton Gould

Benton Gould, 83, passed away June 23, 2014, at his home in Chinook. At his request, cremation has taken place, and there will be no public services. Arrangements were made with Edwards Funeral Home of Chinook.

Benton was raised and educated in Havre, Montana. He served in the U.S. Army and returned to Havre after the service. Benton had served the Havre Fire Department for numerous years and served 24 years with the U.S. Customs Service as a U.S. Customs Inspector, from which he retired in 1991.

He was a long-time member of the Havre Eagles. Benton enjoyed traveling in his motorhome for many years and enjoyed his travels from coast to coast.

Benton is survived by his spouse, Leta; sisters, Irene Prince of Surprise, Arizona, Carol Chagnon of Havre, and Mary Light of Earp, California; and brother, Roland Gould of Havre.
