Thursday, Feb. 26

Lincoln-McKinley Primary School will hold its Spring Parent Teacher Conferences this day. Parents and guardians should have their conference letters, with scheduled times for conferences. 

Lego Time will be from 3:30 to 5 p.m. at Havre-Hill County Library. This event is free and open to the public. For more information, call 265-2123.

Dancing at the North Central Senior Center at 2 2nd St. W. begins at 7 p.m.

“Grease,” a Montana Actors’ Theatre production, will begin at 8 p.m. at MSU-Northern's Little Theatre, with the doors and backstage lounge opening at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for students and seniors and free for Northern students with a valid ID. Tickets are available at Angie's Wildflowers and The Computer Center in Havre; Gretchen's Getaway in Chinook; online at www.mtactors.com; and at the door.

Havre Ice Dome Open Skate is set for 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., or 7:15 if Glacier Nationals are playing. Cost is $4, and rentals are available for $4.

Saturday, Feb. 28

Special Olympics representatives will be selling raffle tickets at Gary& Leo's and Walmart 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Funds are used to send Olympians to competition.

Havre Middle School is hosting a Middle School Invitational Choral Festival with six area schools combining to present a mass concert in the Havre Middle School Assembly Room, beginning at 6:30 p.m. The public is encouraged to attend at no cost.

Tax aides will be helping seniors and people with low income with tax returns and other year-end tax matters 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Mondays and Tuesdays until April 15. To make an appointment and find out what information to bring, call North Central Senior Center at 265-5464.

The Hi-Line Quilt Guild meets the first Tuesday of the month at the Holiday Village Mall Community Center at 7 p.m.

Books and Babies is at 10:15 a.m. at the Havre-Hill County Library. This event is free, and everybody is welcome.

Pachyderm Club will meet at the Duck Inn Vineyard Room at noon for a no-host luncheon. Guest speaker will be Darrin Boss, superintendent of Northern Ag Research Center. Everyone is welcome.

Knights of Columbus Lenten Fish Fry will be at St. Jude Parish Center from 5 to 7 p.m.

The North Central Hangar of the Montana Pilots Association will hold its monthly meeting starting at 7:30 p.m. in the terminal at the Havre City-County Airport.

Friends of Beaver Creek Park monthly meeting will begin at 7 p.m. at Van Orsdel United Methodist Church.

I would LOVE to see our community list more events in this section. So many times you hear from a friend that went to some event or fundraiser that you didn't even hear about. Would love to see any little thing going on in Havre to be posted here.

HPS Education Foundation hosting the annual HOLIDAY HOOPS Blue Pony alumni basketball games on Friday December 27th at the Havre Middle School. First game at 6:30pm. Players contact Tony at 390-6178 or Grayson at Master Sports. Fun for the whole family!
